New Citroen voice system

14/10/03

Citroen is now offering a telematics system with voice-activated radio, telephone and satellite navigation. The NaviDrive unit also has a special function for reading back incoming text messages, and dedicated buttons for dialling up the emergency or recovery services.

It's become an option for buyers of selected C2 and C3 superminis, as well as certain C5 and C8 models. The £1,650 system is effectively a radio, CD player, telephone, modem and satellite navigation system all in one unit. In the future, NaviDrive may be able to offer an even wider range of services, linked up to video consoles, camcorders and Personal Digital Assistants.
