A brilliant all-rounder, the Golf offers a solid package from a quality brand. It's spacious, comfortable and fun to drive thanks o advanced rear suspension, though the 1.4 engine is a bit lacklustre. It represents good value as well with competitive entry-level pricing and decent standard equipment.
